LOADING THE CAMERA
No special precautions are required for loading the Panda camera; however, direct sunlight should be avoided when loading
or removing the film after exposure. If it is not convenient to do the operation in the house, step into the shade of
a tree or building, or use your ody as a shield against the direct sunlight.
Unlock the camera by turning the knob at the base of the camera as far as possible to the right (clockwise). Then
remove the cone from the case as shown in Illustration Two.

INSERTING THE FILM
Insert a fresh roll of film into the empty chamber (Illustration Three), making sure that the holes on the ends of the
spool engage the stationary pins. Break the seal on the film and draw the paper over the cone (Illustration Four).
Thread the pointed end of the paper into the slot of the takeup spool, making sure that the colored side of the paper is out
and the black side faces the inside of the cone. Be very certain that the paper is centered on the take-up spool in
order that it will wind evenly. Now give the winding knob a few turns, sufficient to bind the paper and assure its firm
grip by the spool.

Replace the cone in the case by sliding the tongues of the case (A, Illus. Five) into the proper grooves of the cone
(B, Illus. Five) as far as they will go and then lock it by turning the knob at the bottom of the camera all the way to the
left (counter clockwise). Then turn the winding knob until the figure "1" appears in the red window on the back of the
camera. An indicating hand and a row of dots will be visible shortly before this first figure appears in place.
Now your camera is ready for use in taking pictures.

Ansco Plenachrome Film - 620 (PB20) size - is especially recommended for best results. Because of its speed, this
film will give clear, sharp pictures even under adverse light conditions. This exceptional film enables you to take
pictures early in the day, in the strong light of midday, or late in the afternoon.
TAKING SNAPSHOTS
Hold the camera waist high and frame the subject in the view finder. The subject should be no closer than six feet
from the camera. A single downward stroke of the red shutter release operates the shutter, opening and closing it.
Do not move the camera during exposure or you will blur the picture. To avoid this, hold the camera close to your body
and as you push the shutter release, hold your breath until the shutter clicks.
After the first picture has been taken, turn the winding knob until the figure "2" appears in the red window. In
the same manner, move the film to the next number directly after each picture has been taken.
REMOVING THE FILM
After the twelfth or last picture has been tkaen, wind the film on the takeup spool until the paper disappears in the
red window. The spoxsed roll can now be removed, and its end fastened with the sticker found on the end of all Ansco
film. Before replacing the case, move the empty spool to the other chamber to be ready for a new roll of film.
